Calico Thunder

So I finished drafting Renegades of PEACE, and while I give the story some room to breathe before I go back to revise, I decided to start working on this short story. The prompt has been sitting in my phone notes for about a year and a half. I think it came from one of those random fantasy prompt generators, but basically it goes like this: "A misunderstood cowboy has limited time to sell a flying circus." Totally random, right? But for some reason, I loved it. Every time I would go back to look at my random prompts list, that one always stood out. I finally plotted the story out (during class) and started writing. It's probably 1/3 finished right now, so I'm hoping to have a solid, revised draft by the end of Thanksgiving break. I'm calling it, "Calico Thunder Rides Again." The circus is no longer a flying circus, but it is a magic one, and it's pretty darn spectacular. I've had way too much fun trying to come up with crazy ideas and characters. This is random concept art of the title character that just had to get out of my brain. It was just a quick speed drawing so it's far from perfect, but I like the basic idea. She'd probably be a little dirtier and more banged up in reality, not so crisp and white.
